Jia Wu

Jia Wu is the TAS Manager of Xylinx, LLC and a recognized expert in business and intangible asset valuation with over a decade of experience across financial reporting, tax, transactions, and litigation. Her work spans the full range of valuation disciplines, M&A and purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment testing, intellectual property, and financial instrument valuation, under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

Shaped by leadership roles at distinguished valuation and advisory firms, Jia is known for delivering rigorous, defensible work on compressed timelines and translating complex analysis into clear, actionable insight for boards, auditors, and deal teams. Before founding Monument Valuations in 2023, she was a valuation consultant at John Staurulakis, Inc. (JSI), a full-service firm advising telecommunications providers on financial, engineering, regulatory, and strategic matters. Earlier, she held valuation roles at Marshall & Stevens, SingerLewak, and Globalview Advisors, and gained formative experience supporting corporate finance teams through pre-IPO-to-IPO transitions and early-stage real estate ventures.

Her recent industry focus includes telecommunications, technology, franchises, consumer products, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, and hospitality, with particular depth in early-stage, rapid-growth companies. Jia also serves as Business Valuation Chair of the American Society of Appraisers' Northern California chapter, where she oversees digital operations and drives community engagement, efforts that helped earn the chapter ASA Chapter of the Year in 2025. In 2026, Jia was named a recipient of the American Society of Appraisers' Rising Star Award. She is a frequent moderator at industry events and continuing education programs.

Jia holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Real Estate, and Law (cum laude, minor in Economics) from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential from the AICPA.
